The PSM is suitable for grinding:
- Spline shafts
- Straight toothed gears
- Toothed shafts
- Any component with a lead angle “0“ can be ground as well as straight toothed broaches with the abovementioned profiles.
The PSM machine is capable of grinding workpieces 800, 1200, 1600, 2000, 2500 and 3000mm.
It is possible to grind an internal profile by fitting an internal grinding spindle. This is an optional extra.
The max. workpiece weight is 280kg (K-design) / 1000kg (G-design).
Possible design characteristics:
- Automatic adjustment within 4 seconds
- Measuring arm with 4 measuring gauges for broaches
- Measuring of profile in the machine
- Pre-milling of "soft" toothing
- Integration in manufacturing line
- Automatic load and unload
Workpiece examples:

The ZSM is a high performance grinding machine with Sinumerik 840 controlled axis.
This machine has specifically been developed for grinding of:
- Straight and spiralled fluted broaches
- Straight and helical formed gears
- Toothed shafts
- All types of spline shafts
- Any grindable profiles with a lead angle of “0“ in rotational pieces up to a grinding length of 3000 mm and amax. diameter of Ø500 mm.
For the gear industry the machine has considerable advantages, as setting time is not very high and lead angle (±90 Grad) is not limited. Due to the grinding wheel size range of Ø40 mm up to Ø250 mm almost any type of gear tooth can be ground.
